Path to Purchase Institute Celebrates 2 KPM Leaders in Women of Excellence Awards
Science and technology make it easier for brands to inspire shoppers — and Kroger Precision Marketing has the team to make it happen.
Two standout members of the KPM team—Yenifer Hernandez and Christine Foster—have been honored as part of the Path to Purchase Institute’s 2024 Women of Excellence Awards. These awards recognize their significant contributions to driving innovation, fostering growth, and setting new standards of excellence in the retail media industry.
Yenifer Hernandez, director of software engineering, was recognized in the Technology category for her extraordinary impact on digital infrastructure. Hernandez has built and developed high-performing teams and spearheaded several transformative DevOps initiatives that have elevated KPM’s media platform operations.
Hernandez’s leadership has resulted in innovations such as advanced bid management tools, third-party API integration, and new creative management capabilities. By focusing on process optimization and seamless team collaboration, she has consistently exceeded expectations across KPM’s onsite, offsite, and managed product lines.
Her commitment to upskilling and career development has cultivated a culture of empowerment, ensuring that every team member thrives under her guidance.
Christine Foster, VP of product strategy and media operations, was honored in the Industry Impact category for her pioneering work in media sustainability. Overseeing a team of more than 100 professionals across product strategy, media activation, and campaign operations, she has made sustainability a core pillar of KPM’s mission.
Foster is at the forefront of redefining environmental responsibility within the retail media industry. Through her leadership, KPM became the first retail media company to commit to measuring and reducing carbon emissions, collaborating with organizations such as Scope3 to minimize the environmental impact of digital advertising. Her advocacy for energy-efficient practices and her contributions to Ad Net Zero have helped to establish new sustainability benchmarks across the industry.
“Yenifer Hernandez and Christine Foster represent the best of KPM’s culture of innovation, collaboration, and commitment to meaningful industry change,” said Cara Pratt, SVP of Kroger Precision Marketing. “Their recognition in the Path to Purchase Institute’s 2024 Women of Excellence Awards highlights their exceptional contributions and underscores KPM’s ongoing dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in retail media.”
